Cheesy fondue

Ingredients

  • cornstarch
  • fondue pot
  • cheese (swiss, cheddar or other depending on taste)
  • alcohol (beer or hard cider)
  • 1 clove garlic
  • whole wheat bread or sourdough bread

Directions

  1. Turn on the fondue pot.

  2. With a fondue prong, stab the garlic and rub it around the bottom and sides of the pot to flavor the pot.

  3. In a seperate bowl, coat the cheese with cornstarch. Use just enough corn starch to coat, but make sure each shred of cheese gets coated.

  4. Add beer or cider to the fondue pot and allow to steam.

  5. Slowly add the starch coated cheese, stirring constantly, until the correct consistency is acheived.

  6. Serve with whole wheat bread or sourdough.
