Rum Balls

Ingredients

  • 1 cup vanilla wafers, rolled fine
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup pecans, finely chopped
  • 2 T cocoa
  • 2 T white Karo syrup
  • 1/4 cup run

Directions

  1. Mix well 1st 4 ingredients. Mix well the syrup and rum, then add to the dry ingredients. Shape into small balls and roll in powdered sugar. Store in covered jar.

  2. *I use Canadian Club whiskey as Frank doesn’t care for rum☺.

  3. *Typically, I will add a few extra splashes of CC – gives it quite the kick!

  4. *Will often use a combination of pecans/walnuts

  5. typically triple/quadruple the recipe – makes roughly 75-100.

  6. *I normally store in tins or plastic containers – all seem to work well.
