Italian sausage and chard over pasta

Prep time: 10 minutes
Cook time: 20 minutes
Serves 4 people

Ingredients

  • 12 oz linguine
  • 12 oz italian sausage (sweet) casing removed
  • 1/2 onion chopped
  • 2 large garlic cloves chopped
  • 1 bunch swiss chard
  • 4 roma tomatoes chopped
  • 1/2 whipping cream
  • 1/4 cup basil leaves choppewd
  • Parmesan cheese shaved

Directions

  1. Cook pasta

  2. Heat large dutch oven on stove- med heat

  3. Cook sausage, onion and garlic, stirring frequently, until sausage browns (5 min)

  4. Add chard and tomatoes and cook, covered, until chard wilts (about 4 mins)

  5. Stir in cream

  6. Drain pasta

  7. Pour mixture over pasta and sprinkle with basil and cheese
