Scamboli Bread

  • 2 loaves frozen bread dough, thawed
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 t. oregano, parsley, salt, pepper and garlic powder
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 1/2 lb pepperoni
  • 1 lb browned sausage
  • 3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese


  1. Stretch thawed bread dough and roll out on floured board to about 11×14 inches.

  2. Mix eggs, spices and oil. Spread this mixture on both loaves leaving some mixture for later.

  3. Layer pepperoni, sausage and cheese on both loaves (or use other pizza ingredients).

  4. Roll up loaves jelly-roll style. Put seam side down on greased cookie sheet, tuck in ends.

  5. Spread the rest of spice mixture on top and sides.

  6. Bake at 350* for 25-35 minutes.
