Granola to go bars

Ingredients

  • 3 1/2 cups quick cook oatmeal
  • 1 cup chopped almonds
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 2/3 cup butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1/2 cup sunflower seeds
  • 1/2 cup chopped dried apples
  • 1/2 cup dried cranberries
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon

Directions

  1. Combine Oats and Almonds in a jelly roll pan. Bake at 350 for 15 min or until toasted. Stir occasionally.

  2. In a large bowl, combine the egg, butter, honey and vanilla. Stir in the sunflower, apples, cranberries, brown sugar and cinnamon. Stir in Oat mixture.

  3. Press mixture into greased jelly roll pan. Bake at 350 for 13-18 min or until set and edges are lightly browned. Cool on wire racks. Cut into bars. Store in an airtight container.
