Bread Stuffing

Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups Onion, finely chopped
  • 3 cups Celery, sliced & coarsly chopped
  • 4 sticks Butter
  • 14 cups Bread Cubes, seasoned, hard
  • 3/4 teaspoons Salt
  • 3 teaspoons Sage
  • 2 teaspoons Thyme
  • 1 teaspoon Pepper
  • 1 3/4 cups Walnuts, chopped

Directions

  1. Melt butter in a pan large enough to accomodate all of the bread cubes.

  2. (I use a roasting pan.)

  3. Add spices and mix.

  4. Add celery and onion and saute until soft. Add all of the bread cubes and vigorously toss to evenly coat.

  5. Stuff the bird of your choice just before baking.
