Ingredients

  • 6 eggs
  • 1/2 cup + 1/8 cups cups confectioners sugar
  • 10 oz brandy, approx
  • 12 cups milk
  • fresh grated nutmeg

Directions

  1. Separate eggs. In a lrg bowl beat the egg whites until frothy.

  2. Whisk in 1/2 cup + 2 tbs of powdered sugar and beat until stiff peaks form.

  3. Beat egg yolks w/ remaining 1/4 of cup of sugar and 2-4 Tbs of brandy until light and lemon colored.

  4. Fold egg whites into egg yolks and refrigerate.

  5. In a lrg stockpot post heat the milk until hot, but don’t boil. Reduce heat and keep milk hot.

  6. To each mug add 1 Tbs brandy (or more to taste) and 1/2 large heaping Tbs of egg mixture.

  7. Stir and fill mug w/ hot milk.

  8. Place another 1/2 Tbs on top and sprinkle with nutmeg.
