Sweet and Fire Popcorn

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup Earth Balance Butter
  • 1 tablespoon Coconut oil
  • 4 tablespoons coconut palm sugar
  • 1 teaspoon fine sea salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 cup popcorn kernels

Directions

  1. In a pot, melt the butter over medium low heat.

  2. Once melted, stir in oil, sugar, and corn kernels and coat the corn kernels.

  3. Cover with a lid and pop the popcorn.

  4. Once popped, remove the popcorn immediately from the heat, throw in the remaining ingredients and toss.

  5. My mom and I would actually put the popcorn and the ingredients into a paper bag and shake it. We believe it mixes better that way, but that’s not exactly eco-friendly. A large salad bowl would do great though.

  6. Let the popcorn cool and then eat.
