Mom’s Brownies – Edited

Ingredients

  • 2 sq. unsweetened chocolate @ room temp or if smaller squares - need 8
  • 1/2 c. butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 t. vanilla
  • 1 c. nuts
  • 1/2 c flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • (Double all for 9x18 recipe)

Directions

  1. Beat eggs until foamy.

  2. Meanwhile, melt choc w/ butter and cool.

  3. To egg, add sugar and vanilla – mix.

  4. Stir in flour, baking powder.

  5. Stir in chocolate butter mixture and nuts.

  6. pour into greased pan and bake @ 340 ( in our oven)for 25 minutes or shorter for a small pan (1X the recipe) and longer for a 9X18 pan (double recipe) crusty on top.

  7. FROSTING:

  8. 1/4 stick butter

  9. Mix 2-3 cups powdered sugar (3/4 way up bowl), 3 rounded Tbsp cocoa, and add evap milk for consistency

  10. Mix by hand.
