Meatballs

Ingredients

  • Meatballs:
  • 1 lb. of the following, grated: a mixture of chicken and pork or a mixture of beef and pork
  • salt and pepper
  • 2 slices American bread that has been soaked in water
  • 1 c. grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tblsp. onion, cooked until translucent
  • 2 small eggs
  • Sauce:
  • 1 lb. meat
  • 2 fresh tomatoes, deseeded, no skins
  • 2 big cans crushed tomato
  • 1 small can chicken broth
  • tomato paste (if necessary)
  • a drop of milk

Directions

  1. Meatballs: Mix all ingredients together (if too hard, add another egg). Make balls bigger than golf balls; smaller than tennis balls. Cook on top oven rack at 350 degrees for 10 mins. on each side. Place cooked meatballs into sauce and cook for 1 hr. or more.

  2. Sauce: Add all ingredients together. Cook over heat.
