Dosai Hittu

Serves 6 people

Ingredients

  • Urad Dhal 1 cup
  • Flat Rice 1/4 cup
  • Rice Flour - 4 cups
  • water
  • salt to taste

Directions

  1. To 1 cup Urad Dhal and 1/4 cup of flat rice, add water to cover, and let it sit for 3-4 hours, or overnight.

  2. Stir 4 cups of Rice Flour and 6 cups of water into a paste

  3. Blend the soaked Urad Dhal/flat rice mixture: start at “chop” setting and progress to “puree” – should become a very fine consistency.

  4. Add both mixtures together.

  5. Heat in 100 – 200 degree oven. Can be kept 8 hours, or overnight at low heat.

  6. Now, add water to thin and salt to taste.
