Beer Battered Onion Rings

Ingredients

  • *2 cups all-purpose flour
  • *1 teaspoon baking powder
  • *1 teaspoon salt
  • *16 fl oz Miller Lite beer
  • *2 large Spanish onions
  • *oil for frying

Directions

  1. WHISK batter ingredients together until smooth. Rest batter for 10-15 minutes before using. Peel and slice onions into rings, separating the individual rings. Heat oil in a large pot or fryer to 350 degrees. Dredge onion rings in flour, and then dip in batter, allowing the excess to drip off. Fry battered onion rings in small batches until golden brown. Serve while hot.
