Chicken Pot Pie Pasta

Ingredients

  • salt and pepper
  • 3/4 lb penne
  • 1/3 lb green beans 1 inch pieces
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 small yellow onion minced
  • 1 stalk celery thinly sliced
  • 2 carrots diced medium
  • 1/4 c flour
  • 2 c chicken broth
  • 2 c diced cooked chicken

Directions

  1. In large pot of boiling salted water cook pasta 3 min less than package.

  2. Add green beans cook 3 min then drain.

  3. In large saucepan melt butter over med high.

  4. Add onion celery and carrots and cook until onion is translucent about 4 min.

  5. Add flour and cook stirring 1 min.

  6. Gradually add broth stir constantly, then bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer 5 min.

  7. Stir in chicken season with salt and pepper.

  8. Stir pasta into chicken mixture.
