Asparagus with dill sauce

  • 3/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 8 ounce container sour cream
  • 2 green onions chopped
  • 1 /2 teaspoons dried dill
  • 3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 2 pounds fresh asparagus spears


  1. For dill sauce combine mayonnaise, sour cream, green onion, dill, and lemon juice in a small bowl; cover and chill.

  2. Snap tough ends from asparagus.

  3. Arrange asparagus in a steamer basket over boiling water; cover and steam 4 to 5 minutes or until crisp-tender.

  4. Arrange asparagus on a serving plate and serve with dill sauce.
