Low Fat Pizza Dough

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 pkg active dry yeast
  • 3/4 cup warm water (100-110 degrees)
  • 2 cups bread flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Directions

  1. Dissolve honey and yeast in warm water. Leave for 10 minutes until frothy.

  2. In a large bowl stir flour and salt together. Add yeast mixture and stir with a palette knife until a dough ball forms.

  3. Turn out on to floured surface and knead for 5 minutes or until smooth and elastic. Form a ball and place in a lightly floured large bowl. Cover bowl with plastic wrap and a damp tea cloth. Let dough rise in a warm place for 1 hour, until doubled in size.

  4. Remove dough from bowl and punch down on lightly floured surface. Roll into 12-inch circle and place on a lightly oiled baking sheet . Top with favorite toppings and bake in a 450-degree oven for 10-13 minutes until golden.
