Soft and Chewy Sugar Cookies

Ingredients
- 2 3/4 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup butter (softened)
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- Additional sugar
Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Place parchment paper on cookie sheets.

In a bowl combine flour, soda, baking powder, and salt.

Cream butter and sugar until smooth and fluffy.

Beat in egg, and vanilla.

Slowly blend in dry ingredients.

In rounded teaspoons roll dough in sugar and place on cookie sheets.

Bake 8 to 10 minutes.
