Standard Biscuits

Cook time: 10 minutes
Serves 12 people

Ingredients

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 4 tablespoons shortening
  • 2/3 to 3/4 cup milk

Directions

  1. Combine dry ingredients.

  2. Cut in shortening until course crumbs.

  3. Make a well.

  4. Add milk.

  5. Use fork to stir until moistened.

  6. Turn dough out.

  7. Knead 4 to 6 strokes.

  8. Roll out.

  9. Cut into biscuits.

  10. Bake at 350 degrees until done.
