Rice Pudding

Ingredients

  • 3 1/2 c milk
  • 1/2 c rice
  • 1/4 c sugar
  • 1 1/s tsp vanilla
  • Pinch of salt
  • Raisins or berries

Directions

  1. Boil milk and rice, then reduce to simmer on medium-low heat, stirring 30-35 minutes or until very thick

  2. Remove from heat and add sugar, vanilla, pinch of salt, raisins if desired, and stir until sugar is dissolved.

  3. Pour into a medium bowl, cover, and press plastic wrap onto the surface of the pudding.

  4. Refrigerate and serve cool, with berries if desired.
