Chicken Fried Round Steak

Serves 5 people

Ingredients

  • 2 lb round steak (1/2 in thick)
  • 2 beaten eggs
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • 1 c fine cracker crumbs
  • 1/4 c milk
  • Salt & pepper

Directions

  1. Cut steak into serving pieces & pound thoroughly.

  2. Mix eggs & milk.

  3. Dip meat into egg mixture then into cracker crumbs.

  4. Brown slowly on both sides in hot fat.

  5. Season with salt & pepper & cover lightly.

  6. Cook over very low heat.
