Kale Chips

Ingredients

  • 1 bunch kale
  • 2 tbsp cooking fat, melted (dripping is good)
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice or cider vinegar
  • Sea salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

Directions

  1. Cut the stems off the kale leaves then cut them into chips of similar size – remember they will shrink!

  2. Place the kale in a bowl and massage the melted cooking fat into them.

  3. Add the lemon juice or vinegar & combine well.

  4. Season to taste with sea salt and freshly ground black pepper.

  5. Place in a single layer on a dehydrator sheet & dehydrate on 57C for about 8hrs or until crispy.
