Beef Chilli

Ingredients

  • 400g Minced Beef
  • 1 large pepper, diced
  • 3 medium onions, cut into large chunks/quartered
  • 2 tsp chilli powder
  • 1.5 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 jar passata
  • tomato puree
  • Try adding chopped cooking chorizo

Directions

  1. Heat dripping/lard in casserole pot on stove top on a medium heat.

  2. Fry beef (& chorizo) until starting to brown.

  3. Add pepper & onions & fry until cooked.

  4. Add chilli powder, cumin & tomato puree & mix well.

  5. Cook for a few mins stiring continuously.

  6. Add passata & season with salt & pepper.

  7. Cook for 20-30 mins until reduced – stiring occasionally to prevent sticking.

  8. Add more chilli/salt/cumin if necessary.
