  • 1 cup of flour
  • 2 tsp. Salt
  • 2 tbs paprika
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 qt. Pkg. chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup (4 oz.) plain tomato sauce
  • 1 small onion, cut up
  • 1 cup carrots, thickly sliced
  • 4 stalks of celery thickly cut up
  • 3/4 cup thickly sliced mushrooms
  • 1-1/2 tsp sugar
  • Pam Spray

Directions

  1. Place flour, salt, paprika and pepper into a plastic bag and shake to mix.

  2. Add chicken and shake to coat,

  3. Spray a large skillet with Pam and brown chicken thoroughly on both sides. Add more Pam if needed.

  4. Remove the chicken to a large soup pot. Lightly cook the vegetables in the skillet and then add to the soup pot.

  5. Add the chicken broth, tomato sauce and the sugar to the chicken.

  6. Cover and simmer over a low heat for at least 2 hours stirring occasionally to prevent the chicken from sticking to the pot, until the chicken falls easily off the bones and the vegetables are soft.

  7. Skim off any fat that collects on the top before serving.
