Amish Soft Pretzels

Ingredients

  • 1-1/3 c water
  • 1/4 c brown sugar
  • 1 TB yeast
  • 2 c flour
  • 2 c bread flour
  • then:
  • 1 c cold water mixed w/1 TB soda

Directions

  1. Mix, rise 1 hr.

  2. Divide in 4 parts, then 8 fingers each

  3. Dip into soda solution.

  4. Pack into buttered baking sheet, rise just til tacky, 5 min.

  5. Brush w/butter, kosher salt

  6. 500/5-8min
