Indian Rice

Ingredients

  • 5 cups basmati rice, cooked
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 4 tsp clarified butter
  • 1 small yellow onion, diced
  • salt to taste

Directions

  1. Heat clarified butter in a skillet. Add cumin seeds. When they start sputtering, add the onion and cumin powder. Fry on very high heat for about 30 seconds, add the rice until it’s hot and well mixed, then salt to taste.
