Banana Split Supreme

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup butter, divided
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 cup evaporated milk
  • 3/4 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 24 cream-filled chocolate sandwich cookies, crushed
  • 3-4 firm bananas cut into slices
  • 2 quarts vanilla ice cream, softened, divided
  • 1 can (20 oz) crushed pineapple, drained
  • 1 can (10 oz) maraschino cherries, drained and halved
  • Whipped topping

Directions

  1. In a saucepan, combine ½ cup butter, sugar, milk, chocolate chips.

  2. Bring to a boil over medium heat; boil and stir for 8 min.

  3. Remove from heat and cool completely.

  4. Meanwhile, melt the remaining butter; toss with cookie crumbs.

  5. Press into greased 13×9 pan.

  6. Freeze for 15 minutes.

  7. Arrange banana slices over crust; spread with 1 quart ice cream.

  8. Top with 1 cup chocolate sauce.

  9. Freeze 1 hour.
