Melt and Mix Chocolate Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 C self raising flour
  • 3/4 C cocoa
  • 1 1/3 C caster sugar
  • 1/2 C brown sugar
  • 1 t vanilla essence
  • 250 g butter
  • 4 eggs
  • 3/4 C milk

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 160oC.

  2. Sift flour and cocoa.

  3. Add sugars, vanilla, melted butter, eggs and milk.

  4. Whisk until well combined.

  5. Bake in paper-lined 23cm cake tin for approx 90 minutes.

  6. Allow to cool in tin 10 minutes before turning.

  7. Ice when cold with chocolate butter icing or ganache.
