Chocolate Cream Cheese Frosting

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup (1-1/2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 8 ounce package cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa, sifted
  • 4 cups (1 lb) confectioners' sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 - 4 tablespoons milk

Directions

  1. In a mixing bowl, beat butter and cream cheese together until creamy, about 2 min.

  2. Stir in cocoa.

  3. Add confectioners’ sugar, 1 cup at a time, mixing well.

  4. Beat in vanilla extract and milk and stir until smooth.

  5. Can be refrigerated up to one week; bring to room temperature and stir before using.

  6. Makes 3 cups
