Peggy’s Lucy Pickles

Ingredients

  • 46oz jar dill pickles (the cheapest)
  • 2 1/2 c white sugar
  • 2/3 c Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 1/4 c water
  • 1 tsp ea Poppy seeds & Celery seeds

Directions

  1. Rinse pickles in cold water and wash out jar.

  2. Cut pickles in chunks.

  3. Put poppy seeds and celery seeds in jar.

  4. Add pickle chunks.

  5. Boil together sugar, vinegar and water until sugar is dissolved and boils rapidly.

  6. Pour hot syrup over chunks in jar.

  7. Seal with original lid. Best if they stand a few days.
