Homemade Granola Cereal

Note: Add walnuts and or pecans after the dish has completed cooking.

Ingredients

  • 8 cups regular (not quick) oats
  • 1 1/4 cups coconut
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup wheat germ
  • Nuts (any kind you like, pecans, walnuts, almonds…)
  • Sunflower seeds
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt.
  • 3/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 1 1/2 tsp vanilla

Directions

  1. Mix dry ingredients.

  2. Then mix oil, water, and vanilla in a separate bowl and then add to dry ingredients.

  3. Bake at 250 degrees for 45 minutes.

  4. Cool.

  5. Can add dried cranberries, raisins or dates if desired after cereal has cooled.
