bacon & water chestnuts

Ingredients

  • 2 cans water chestnuts
  • 1 1/2 lbs. bacon
  • 2 c. ketchup
  • 2/3 c. brown sugar
  • Toothpicks

Directions

  1. Cut bacon into small strips. Wrap each strip around a water chestnut that has been sliced in 1/2 and fasten with a toothpick. Place in a sheet cake pan and bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Meanwhile, combine ketchup, brown sugar. After the 30 minutes, pour the sauce over the chestnuts and bake for 30 more minutes.
