slow-cooker salsa chicken

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs chicken breasts, boneless and skinless
  • 1 cup salsa
  • 1 cup petite diced canned tomatoes
  • 2 tbsp taco seasoning
  • 1 cup onions, diced finely
  • 1/2 cup celery, diced finely
  • 3 tbsp sour cream

Directions

  1. place the chicken in the slow cooker

  2. sprinkle the taco seasoning over the meat then layer the vegetables and salsa on top

  3. pour a half cup of water over the mixture

  4. set on low and cook for 6-8 hours

  5. shred chicken once cooked and mix with sour cream

  6. serve on rice or buns
