Braised cabbage

Ingredients

  • Half a green cabbage, quartered or cut in 6 pieces (remove core)
  • 1 onion, quartered
  • 4 carrots cut into 3 inch chunks
  • 1 apple cut into 3 inch chunks
  • 2 sausages, uncooked, cut
  • 1/4 cup veggie stock
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil
  • S&P

Directions

  1. Preheat oven 325 F

  2. In large ovenproof dish, place veggies and apple in even layer.

  3. Place sausage on top.

  4. Cover with stock and olive oil.

  5. Sprinkle with S&P

  6. Cover tightly with lid or foil

  7. Bake for 1 hour and turn veggies over; add water if dry.

  8. Cover and bake for 1 more hour.
