Fried Pork Spareribs King-Tu Style

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. Spareribs
  • Marinate:
  • 1/2 tsp. Salt
  • 1 tsp. Meat tenderizer
  • 1 tsp Baking Soda
  • 1 Tbsp. Soy Sauce
  • 1 Tbsp. Flour
  • 1 Tbsp. Cornstarch
  • 2 Tbsp. Cold water
  • 5 C. Oil
  • 2 Tbsp Oil
  • 1 Tbsp. A-1 Sauce
  • 1 Tbsp. Sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 Tbsp. Ketchup
  • 2 Tbsp. Cold Water

Directions

  1. Chop the spareribs into 1" wide, 2" long pieces. Separate the bone lengthwise into two pieces.

  2. In a bowl combine the marinade ingredients. Add the spareribs and mix them thoroughly. Soak 2 – 4 hours.

  3. Heat 5 c. oil in the frying pan until it is very hot. Deep fry pork spareribs about 3 minutes over high heat until they are lightly browned and crispy. Drain oil from pan.

  4. Heat another 2 Tbsp. of oil in frying pan. Our in the seasoning sauce. Cook until boiling. Turn off the heat. Add spareribs and mix well. Pour on platter with optional scallion and pineapple.
