Stuffing Sausage Balls

Tastiest recipe I have tried. Hubby asks for these often.

Ingredients

  • 1 to 1 1/2 cups herb-seasoned stuffing mix
  • 3/4 cup hot water
  • 1 Lb. ground pork sausage
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped celery (opt.)
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 cup Bisquick mix

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees. In medium bowl, mix stuffing mix with hot water. Gradually mix in sausage until blended. Stir in onion, celery, egg, Bisquick and baking powder.
  2. Shape mixture into 1 inch balls. Place on large baking sheet. Cover with foil and bake in 325 degree oven 15 minutes.
  3. Remove foil. Raise oven temperature to 350 degrees. Bake for 25 minutes, until golden brown.
  4. Makes about 70 pieces
