Ingredients
- 2 Tbsp butter, melted
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 cup flour, sifted
- 8 Tbsp cocoa
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 3/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 2/3 cup water, boiling
Directions

Preheat oven to 350ยบ

Mix butter, 1/2 cup sugar and vanilla together.

Sift flour with 3 tablespoons cocoa, baking powder and 1/2 teaspoon salt.

Add to the first mixture in 2 additions, alternating with milk.

Mix gently, but thoroughly.

Spread batter evenly in 10×6×2-inch baking pan.

Mix together 1/2 cup sugar, 5 tablespoons cocoa and 1/4 teaspoon salt.

Sprinkel evenly over batter.

Carefully pour boiling water on top.

Bake 40 to 45 minutes or until cake is set and pudding is bubbling.

Serve hot or cold with milk, cream or ice cream.
