Ingredients

  • 1 lb. of ground turkey
  • 1 Tbsp. extra-virgin olive oil
  • 2 16 oz. cans chicken broth or stock
  • 3 16 oz. cans Simple Truth Organic Tri Blend
  • Bean Blend
  • 1 Tbsp. Mexican oregano
  • 1 tsp. diced jalapeno
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. cumin
  • 2 tsp. chili powder
  • 1 tsp. jalapeno juice, optional
  • 1/2 tsp. ground turmeric, optional
  • salt and pepper to taste

Directions

  1. Brown the ground turkey in a large skillet or pot that has been preheated with olive oil. Drain. Add broth, beans and seasonings. Bring to a boil, and then reduce the heat, simmering for 45 minutes to an hour. Chili will thicken as it cooks down. If desired, you can use a mixture of Great Northern or Navy beans, black beans, or other beans instead.
  2. Be sure to rinse and drain canned beans.
