Delicious Fruit Maramalade

Ingredients

  • 3 oranges
  • 1 lemon
  • 2 cups drained crushed pineapple
  • 6 3/4 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup hot water
  • 1 (6oz.) jar maraschino cherries, drained and chopped

Directions

  1. Wash oranges and lemon; cut in half crosswise. Remove seeds and membrane in center of each. Cut fruit into quarters; grind unpeeled fruit in meat grinder of food processor.
  2. Combine ground fruit, pineapple, sugar, and water in a Dutch oven; bring to a boil over high heat. Reduce heat and boil 30 minutes, stirring often. Remove form heat; stir in cherries. Pour into hot sterilized jars, leaving 1/4-inch headspace. Cover at once with metal lids, and screw bands tight. Process in boiling-water bath 10 minutes.
