Hot Pepper Jelly

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup ground hot peppers
  • 3/4 cup ground bell peppers
  • 6 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups apple cider vinegar
  • 1 pkg. Certo

Directions

  1. Combine all ingredients except Certo in a large saucepan. Bring to a full rolling boil- one that cannot be stirred down. Boil one minute. Remove from heat. Add one package of Certo and stir well.
  2. Pour into baby food jars (because a little of this goes a long way). Cover with paraffin.
  3. Store in refrigerator.

  4. Serve with cold cuts, cheese and crackers.

  5. Can double or even triple this recipe if desired. Can also add a few drops of green food coloring if desired to make a prettier jelly.
