Peach Preserves

Ingredients

  • 4 lb. prepared peaches
  • 6 cups sugar
  • 3 cups water

Directions

  1. Place peaches in wire basket or cheesecloth and immerse in boiling water until skins are loosened. Plunge into cold water and drain.
  2. Peel peaches;remove stones. Combine sugar and water and cook 10 minutes. Add peaches and cook until clear. Seal in clean hot jars.
  3. makes 4 pints
