Preserved Tangerines

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 cups Florid tangerines, peeled and sectioned

Directions

  1. Boil sugar and water 5 minutes. Peel and section tangerines, beginning careful not to break membranes. Add to syrup and cook gently 45 minutes or until tender. Seal in sterile jars.
  2. makes about 4 half-pints
