Strawberry Freezer Jam

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 (1.59 oz.) pkg. freezer jam pectin
  • 4 cups strawberries rinsed, hulled and patted dry, crushed

Directions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine sugar and pectin, stirring until well blended. Add fruit
  2. and stir constantly for 3 minutes.

  3. Transfer mixture to plastic or glass freezer jars, leaving about 1/2 inch head space. Apply lids and close tightly. Let stand at room temperature until thickened, about 30 minutes.
  4. Will keep refrigerated for up to 3 weeks or in the freezer for up to 1 year.
  5. makes 5 (8 oz.) jars

  6. may substitute Splenda for the granulated sugar. Do not use other artificial sweeteners.
