Craberry-Prune Relish

Ingredients

  • 1 jar (14 oz.) cranberry-orange relish
  • 1 cup chopped pitted prunes
  • 1/2 lemon, chopped, skin and all
  • 1/3 cup Cointreau or orange liqueur
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 cup slivered, blanched almonds

Directions

  1. Put 1 cup water and all ingredients, except almond, in saucepan, bring boil and simmer, stirring occasionally, 15- 20 minutes, or until thick.
  2. Stir in almonds ; cool, then refrigerate. Or pour into hot sterilized jars and seal; chill before serving.
  3. makes 3 1/2 cups
