“Healthy” Banana COokies

Serves 8 people

Ingredients

  • 4 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 2 cups quick-cook oatmeal
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon butter, very soft
  • 2 tablespoons real maple syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/3 cup craizins
  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Directions

  1. Mix everything together. Drop by tablespoonfuls onto a greased cookie sheet. Cook in a preheated oven at 350 for about 15 minutes, or until slightly tanned and bottom is crisping. Makes about 16 cookies.
