Chocolate Bundt Cake

(from Wendielu’s recipe box)

Categories: chocolate cake, dessert

Ingredients

  • 1 (18.5 oz.) package dark chocolate cake mix
  • 1 (3.9 oz) package instant chocolate pudding mix
  • 1 (16 oz) container of sour cream
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup kahlua liquor
  • 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips

Directions

  1. Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees

  2. Grease and flour a bundt cake pan (I use cocoa to flour)

  3. Combine all ingredients except chocolate chips, beat until blended

  4. Fold in chocolate chips

  5. Spoon into pan

  6. Bake for one hour, cool for 10 minutes, turn out onto wire rack to finish cooling

  7. NOTE: I have tried this in a bundt pan at least five times. It never all comes out. I have tried flouring pan with flour, cooling longer, everything I could think of. I have given up and bake it in regular cake pan, but I have to watch it because it takes less than an hour. If you figure out the trick to doing it in a bundt pan let me know. This cake is known as “flop cake” in our house and everyone loves it.
