SauerkrautApple Relish

Ingredients

  • 1 qt. sauerkraut, drained
  • 1 cup diced apples
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 2 cups diced celery
  • 1 large green pepper, diced
  • 1 large sweet red pepper, diced
  • 1/2 cup vinegar
  • 2 cups sugar

Directions

  1. If desired, snip sauerkraut with kitchen scissors. Mix with remaining ingredients and chill, covered, at least 4 hours before serving. Serve as relish with cold meats. Keeps at least 1 week; flavor improves on standing.
