Smoky Ancho Rub

especially good sprinkled on corn-on-the-cob and summer squash

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup ground ancho chile powder
  • 1/4 cup smoked paprika
  • 1/4 cup kosher salt
  • 1 Tbsp. smoked salt
  • 2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 2 tsp. onion powder
  • 3/4 tsp. celery seed

Directions

  1. Combine all ingredients to a small bowl. Transfer to an airtight container and store in a cool, dark pantry for up to 3 months.
  2. To use, sprinkle on vegetables just before cooking. For pork or chicken, coat and let stand about 1 hour before cooking.
