Microwave Bread & Butter Pickles

Ingredients

  • 2 cups sliced cucumbers
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup white vinegar
  • 1/4 tsp. turmeric
  • 1 tsp. canning salt
  • 1/2 tsp. mustard seed
  • 1/4 tsp. celery seed

Directions

  1. In a 2- quart microwave-safe bowl, combine all ingredients. Microwave, covered with plastic wrap on high 8-10 minutes, stirring twice until cucumbers are tender crisp.
  2. Ladle into glass jars and refrigerate.
