Sensational Pudding Sauce (for hot or cold puddings)

Ingredients

  • 2 eggs, separated
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream, whipped
  • 2 to 4 Tbsp. Cognac, rum or bourbon

Directions

  1. Beat egg whites until they hold soft peaks. Gradually add sugar until you have a stiff meringue. Beat egg yolks until light and lemon-colored. Whip cream. Fold yolks into meringue, then fold in cream. Drizzle in Cognac and fold again.
  2. makes about 1 1/2 cups
