Trifle

Serves 8 people

Ingredients

  • 3 bananas, sliced
  • 2 pkg. (10 oz. each) frozen peach slices, thawed and drained
  • 3 cups sponge cake crumbs or cubes
  • 1 pkg. (3 oz.) lemon flavored gelatin
  • 1 pkg. (3 1/4 oz.) vanilla pudding and pie filling mix
  • 1 cup heavy cream, whipped

Directions

  1. Place fruits in bottom of a deep serving bowl. Sprinkle with cake crumbs.
  2. Prepare gelatin according to package directions. Cool slightly. Pour evenly over fruit-cake mixture. Do not stir. Chill until set.
  3. Prepare pudding according to package directions. Cool slightly. Pour over chilled gelatin mixture. Chill thoroughly. When ready to serve garnish with whipped cream.
