Gratin dauphinois

Cook time: 40 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 garlic clove, halved
  • cooking spray
  • 6 potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 2 T butter, melted
  • 1/2 t salt
  • 1/8 t pepper
  • 1/2 cup cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup milk

Directions

  1. eheat oven to 425.

  2. Rub baking dish with garlic and coat with spray.

  3. Arrange half of potatoes in dish. Drizzle with half of butter. Top with half of cheese. Repeat, but don’t add cheese.

  4. Bring milk to boil over low heat.

  5. Pour over potatoes.

  6. Top with remaining cheese.

  7. Bake 40 minutes or until tender.
